Gold bars worth Rs 38 lakh seized, plane passenger held

: Gold bars worth Rs 38 lakh were seized from a person at the airport here Monday, Customs officials said

The gold, weighing 1.1 kg, was allegedly smuggled from Riyadh by the 22-year-old passenger, a press release said here.

The accused had concealed the metal in a blue tooth speaker he had in his baggage, the release said, adding that the person has been arrested.
