Customs officials today seized gold
bars weighing 1.081 kgs and worth around Rs 31 lakh from two passengers who arrived at the airport here from Dubai by seperate flights.
One passenger hailing from in Kerala's Thamarassery had carried six gold bars of 10 tolas and had concealed them inside the battery of a rechargeable LED bulbs, a Custom department press release said.

The other passenger from Shivagangai, Tamil Nadu, was found to be carrying gold bars in his socks on his right leg, it said.
Both the passengers were arrested, the release said.
