Gold worth Rs 15 lakh and weighing 583 grams, was today seized from the possession of a passenger who arrived from Sharjah by an Air Arabia flight here, custom officials said.
The culprit, hailing from Kumaranellur village in Palakkad district was taken into custody, they said.
The contraband gold was concealed in the form of the handle of a knife, they added.
