The government today took to social media to promote traditional art and skills of the artisans from the minority communities.
Minister for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi launched a Facebook page of 'Hunar Haat' which contains details of handicraft and food being made available by 130 artisans and culinary experts at an exhibition here.
Launching the page, Naqvi said around 15 lakh people have visited the 'Hunar Haat' which began on February 11 and will continue for two weeks.

Exquisite pieces of handicraft and handloom work like Makrana Marble products, Bandhej from Sikar, Mojri from Rajasthan, Telangana's Banjara embroidery, handmade locks, door handles along with Phool Patti works from Aligarh, Cocoon decorated products from Nagaland, etc are being showcased at the Haat at present.
It also has a "bawarchikhana" (kitchen) where the cuisines from different parts of the country, including Awadhi Mughlai foods from Lucknow, Dal Bati Churma and Thali of Rajasthan, Kerala's Malabari food and Litti Chokha of Bihar are up for relishing.
The haat is being organised through National Minorities Development and Finance Corporation under the Ministry's Upgrading the Skills and Training in Traditional Arts/Crafts for Development (USTAAD) scheme.
About 184 master artisans from 26 states and Union Territories had showcased their traditional art and skills at about 100 stalls at the first haat held at India International Trade Fair, Pragati Maidan between November 14 and November 27, last year.
