: Janata Dal (United) today requested the Centre to release a special package of subsidies and incentives to industrial entrepreneurs setting up units ere to adequately rehabilitate unemployed youth.
President of JD(U) local unit A Saravanan in a release here said that that job opportunities in government sector were becoming scarce and only industrialisation could provide relief to educated unemployed youth.
He also said that a Global Investors Meet could also be held in Union Territory to lure investors by tapping the potential available in this former French colony.

He sought a special package of incentives, including total exemption from income tax for entrepreneurs running units in Puucherry, effective implementation of the 'Make in India' programme, 50 per cent power subsidy, establishment of an Special Export Zone and simplification of procedures to sanction permission for industrial entrepreneurs.
These measures would go a long way to promote industries and generate job opportunities for youth, he said.
