PepperTap, a mobile-based grocery delivery service provider, today said it will expand its team to 500 people in the next three months, following a USD 10 million funding.

Undertaking massive hiring across all operations, Gurgaon- based PepperTap plans to expand to become a 500-employee firm within the next three months, comprising a mix of new talent and seasoned experience, it said in a statement.

At present, the company has about 100 employees.

The hiring will be across verticals like operations, technology and product, analytics, business development and marketing.

Last week, the company announced Series A funding from SAIF Partners and Sequoia Capital.

"We are utilising our Series-A funding to hire skilled resources for our organisation and expand our operations across the major cities of the country. Widening our employee base will give a fillip to the company's operations," PepperTap co-founder Navneet Singh said.

It will help strengthening pan-India presence in the face of rising number of customers for PepperTap's services, he added.

Launched in November 2014, PepperTap currently caters to consumers in Gurgaon and few pockets in Delhi.

It aims to expand its coverage in Delhi-NCR and expand to cities like Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai in the next quarter and reach top 10 Indian cities in the next one year.
