Groundnut oil gains in lacklustre trade

Press Trust of India  |  Mumbai

Groundnut prices gained further in an otherwise lacklustre Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today on rising demand from stockists and retailers amid adequate supply.

While refined palmolein softened owing to mild demand from retail buyers.

Meanwhile, castorseeds bold, castoroil commercial and linseeds held stable in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.

In the edible segment, groundnut rose by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 870 from Monday's closing level of Rs 860, but refined palmolein inched down to Rs 612 per 10 kg.

Moving to non-edible segment, castorseeds bold, castor oil commercial and linseeds oil closed unchanged at Rs 4,425 per 100 kg, Rs 915 per 10 kg and Rs 750 per 10 kg, respectively.
