Guargum prices rose by another Rs 46 to Rs 7,166 per quintal in futures trading today as traders indulged in widening their bets amid a firming global trend and rising demand at the domestic spot markets.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, guargum for delivery in far-month April contracts hardened by Rs 46 or 0.65 per cent to Rs 7,166 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 16,110 lots.
In a similar fashion, guargum for delivery in March month also rose by Rs 41, or 0.58 per cent, to Rs 7,069 per quintal, depicting an open interest of 40,120 lots.
Marketmen said positive cues from global markets and strong export amid a firm trend at the physical markets mainly attributed persistent rise in guargum prices at futures trade here.
