Guargum spurted by Rs 170 to Rs 10,120 per quintal in future trade today as speculators widened their positions amidst rising demand at spot market.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guargum prices for most-active delivery in October contracts surged by Rs 170, or 1.71 per cent to Rs 10,120 per quintal, in an open interest of 18,931 lots.
