Gujarat state social justice and empowerment minister Raman Vora was rushed to the civil hospital after his health suddenly deteriorated here today, officials said.
Vora had been staying in the Palanpur-based circuit house since yesterday to visit rural schools of Deesa taluka in Banaskantha, as part of the school enrolment drive, Banaskantha district collector M S Patel said.
"Vora is on a three-day tour in connection with the Shala Prarveshotsav programme in the district. Today around 11.30 am, he complained about a stomach problem, after which he was immediately rushed to the civil hospital here for treatment," Patel said.

After treatment, Vora was discharged from hospital within a few hours.
"He was suffering from low blood pressure and diarrhoea. He was discharged from the hospital after preliminary treatment," Civil Surgeon S N Patel said.
