Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today slammed his Gujarat counterpart Narendra Modi, saying the western state's development model was only for the affluent ones and "BJP is a party of rich people".
"Some big industrialists have gone to Gujarat but the condition of the poor has not improved. BJP is a party of rich men," he said.
Claiming that Modi's policies were favourable to only the affluent class of the society, Gogoi said, "I do not want the Gujarat model in Assam. We do not want to follow it. We want to follow our own Assam model.
