Unidentified persons fired gun shots at the house of Karnail Singh Peer Mohammad, president of All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF), on Moga-Amritsar Highway, about 25 km from here, police said today.
Mohammad's father Gurcharan Singh found signs of the gun shots when he returned from the village gurudwara in the early hours of the morning, police said.
At the time of incident, the AISSF president was not present at his residence, however his father, wife and other relatives were present, police said.
Police investigation is on.
