Gur held steady on little doing

Steady conditions persisted at the wholesale gur (jaggery) market in the national capital today with prices after moving sideways on alternate bouts of buying and selling, ended same on last levels.

Muzzafarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also displayed a similar trend on scattered support.

Marketmen said absence of any worthwhile activity amid adequate stocks mainly kept gur prices unaltered.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):

Gur chakku Rs 3,100-3,200, pedi Rs 3,200-3,300, dhayya Rs 3,400-3,500 and shakkar Rs 3,500-3,600.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,550-2,600, chakku Rs 2,750-3,020, khurpa Rs 2,650-2,700 and Ladoo Rs 2,850-2,950.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,900-3,050 and dhayya Rs 3,000-3,050.
