Steady conditions persisted at the wholesale gur (Jaggery) market in the national capital today as prices by and large after moving both ways on scattered buying and selling, settled at last levels.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets too depicted a similar trend on little doing.
Marketmen said absence of demand due to off-season against increased arrivals from manufacturing belts, mainly kept gur prices unchanged.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,800-3,900, pedi Rs 4,000-4100, dhayya Rs 4,100-4,200 and shakkar Rs 4,300-4,400.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 3,300-3,400, chakku Rs 3,550-3,650, khurpa Rs 2,925-2,950 and Ladoo Rs 3,000-3,050.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,700-3,800 and dhayya Rs 3,150-3,175.
