Haryana bans sale of cows in animal fairs

Sale and purchase of cows in animal fairs have been banned in Haryana, to check their smuggling to the neighbouring states.

A notification has been issued by 'Haryana Gau Sewa Aayog' in this regard.

The Ayog in a written communication has asked all the Deputy Commissioners in the state to ensure strict compliance of the orders, an official spokesman said here.

Besides the sale of cows, a complete ban has also been imposed on their entry in such fairs.
