Haryana to set up 2 new drug warehouses at Sonepat, Faridabad

The Haryana government will set up two new drug warehouses at Sonepat and Faridabad in the current financial year.

A Haryana health department spokesperson said that seven drug warehouses were already in function across the state. Out of these, five are in government buildings at Kaithal, Gurgaon, Bhiwani, Rohtak and Hisar.

The department has set up remaining two in rented buildings at Ambala and Karnal, he said.

He said the department has taken steps to provide uninterrupted access to essential medicines of good quality and free of cost in all government institutions under health programmes.

"These are supplied through an efficient supply chain management practices in order to achieve overall goal of health for all. Through this service, patients receive medicines appropriate to their clinical needs," he said.
