Another accused in the case, Kumar's brother-in-law, is already in jail.
The judge noted that police investigation had revealed the couple were not estranged as claimed by the woman. She had kept jewellery and 60 sovereigns of gold purchased from the 'ill gotten' money in a bank locker at Tirupattur, which was in the name of their accomplice.
Besides, Satheeshkumar had purchased several other properties in the name of his wife.
The judge noted the accomplice came to know the court was issuing an order to freeze operation of the locker and removed the jewellery on March 11 2015 even before the order reached the bank.
The court said though the FIR revealed the couple had cheated several persons of Rs 50 lakh, the victims' who sought to include them as intervenors said they had lost Rs 53 lakh.
He said that on a conspectus of the facts of the case, there was enough material to show the couple and two others were all part of the conspiracy to commit the offence and share the spoils.
The judge said it was open to the police to arrest the petitioners and proceed with the matter.
He also dismissed the plea to quash the case registered against them by police in Karur in 2014.
The judge said the complainant in the case had also made efforts through a mediation centre but that also failed.
