Madras High Court today directed the Registrar General of the court to provide a copy of the post-mortem report of the 22-year-old dalit engineer, whose death was suspected to be a case of honour killing in Namakkal district to the investigating officer and directed the officer to conduct the inquiry in accordance with law.
The report of post-mortem performed of the youth, found dead beside railway tracks in Namakkal district, was submitted in the court yesterday.
The report, along with the videography of post-mortem on the body of Gokul Raj, was submitted by the Dean of Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Hospital in Salem in a sealed cover to the high court registrar, complying with a court directive.
His relatives had alleged that Gokul Raj's death was a honor killing as he was in love with a caste Hindu Girl.
