Press Trust of India Chennai
The Madras High Court today warned a petitioner that Rs one lakh would be imposed as cost on him after he sought a direction to police to register an FIR against sidelined AIADMK leader V K Sasikala.

The petitioner has alleged that Sasikala misused the constitutional office of former chief minister the late J Jayalalithaa when the latter was hospitalised before passing away.

When the plea by K Saravanan of Kancheepuram district came up for consideration, Justice MS Ramesh said such petitions are draining quality judicial time of courts and warned that he would impose cost if proper explanation was not provided by the petitioner for filing such a plaint.

Counsel for the petitioner sought time to seek instructions from his client following which the judge adjourned the plea to be heard tomorrow.
