Heat wave conditions at isolated places in UP

Heat wave conditions prevailed at isolated places in Uttar Pradesh today as weather was dry over the state.

According to the MeT department, day temperature fell appreciably in Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Faizabad divisions, fell in Allahabad and Lucknow division and changed little in remaining divisions of the state.

It was appreciably above normal in Allahabad, Kanpur, Lucknow, Bareilly, Agra, Jhansi, Meerut divisions, above normal in Varanasi, Moradabad divisions and normal elsewhere.

Highest maximum temperature of 46.4 degrees Celsius was recorded at Allahabad.

The MeT department said that weather would remain dry in the state on May 28 and May 29.
