Heat wave persists in UP, Banda records 46.8 degrees

Heat wave conditions continued to prevail at various places across Uttar Pradesh, where Banda in Bundelkhand region was the hottest place with a maximum of 46.8 degrees Celsius.
Day temperatures rose in Agra, Jhansi, Allahabad, Kanpur, Moradabad and Meerut divisions during past 24 hours, while it settled below normal in Faizabad division, Met officials said.
It remained normal in other divisions of the state, they said, adding the conditions will continue to prevail during next 24 hours.
