Heat wave torments Delhi

Delhi is reeling under scorching heat with the minimum temperature settling at 31.2 degrees Celsius, five notches above normal, today.
"The minimum temperature at 8.30 a.m. was 31.2 degrees Celsius and humidity was recorded at 62%," a MeT official said.
The weatherman has predicted that the mercury will soar further towards the end of the day.
"The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to settle around 43 and 30 degrees Celsius," the official added.
Yesterday, the Palam observatory had registered a high of 43.2 degrees Celsius, while the Safdarjung observatory recorded a maximum temperature of 42.8 degrees Celsius.
"The minimum temperature at 8.30 a.m. was 31.2 degrees Celsius and humidity was recorded at 62%," a MeT official said.
