The met department has forecast heavy rains in most parts of West Bengal till tomorrow as heavy monsoon showers in the metropolis left several roads and low-lying areas waterlogged.
Heavy rains will occur in most districts of West Bengal till tomorrow, regional met director G K Das said here today.
The intensity of rain in the north Bengal districts will reduce from tomorrow but heavy rain is likely to continue in the southern districts of the state for the next two days, he said.

The metropolis recorded 107 mm rainfall in 24 hours till 8.30 am today. In the next nine hours till 5.30 pm it received another 36.8 mm of rain, he said.
The city is likely to continue experiencing similar weather for the next two days, Das said.
Sriniketan (54.6 mm) and Coochbehar (93.8 mm) are the other places in the state which received heavy rainfall in 24 hours from 8.30 am yesterday, the met office said.
