Hero MotoCorp surges over 7% on Feb sales number

Shares of two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp today surged over 7 per cent to touch one-year high after the company reported 13.6 per cent rise in sales for February.

The stock soared 7.13 per cent to touch its one-year high of Rs 2,857.35 on BSE.

On NSE, it jumped 7.18 per cent to Rs 2,859 - 52-week high.

Country's largest two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp yesterday reported 13.6 per cent rise in sales at 5,50,992 units in February.

The company had sold 4,84,769 units in February 2015, Hero MotoCorp had said in a statement.

"These numbers have been possible in spite of the production at Hero's manufacturing facilities in Gurgaon and Dharuhera in Haryana and at Neemrana in Rajasthan being impacted for a few days due to local agitations in the region during the month," it added.
