Cheshire Home here is setting up a Hi-Tech Training Centre for person with disabilities, which will be opened on April 18.
The Centre, one of the first training centres among the private non-profit organisations in Coimbatore and adjoining districts, will train various types of persons with disabilities especially people with intellectutal, visual, hearing and speech impairment and orthopaedic impairment, Homes Chairman C Ravi Selvan told reporters here today.
The training level starts from basic to advance and after succesful completion, they will be provided suitable wage employment opportunity, he said.
Stating that 3,410 differently abled people have been identified from five nearby districts, Selvan said that 278 candidates were provided with various types of jobs and 780 persons undergone various Foundation and vocational training.
