High polling p'tage in Lakshadweep indication NCP will win

: NCP today claimed the high polling percentage in Lakshadweep in the recently concluded Lok Sabha polls was an indication that its candidate would win by a 'thumping margin'.

"The high polling percentage in Lakshadweep island is an indication that the NCP candidate P P Mohammed Faizal will win comfortably with a high victory margin," party spokesperson Kunhikoya Thangal told reporters here.

He alleged that the Congress was resorting to violence in the island as it feared certain defeat in the polls.
