Himachal CM gives Rs 1 lakh to disabled Nepal labourer

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh has given Rs 1 lakh to a minor Nepalese labourer whose both legs were amputated after he came in contact with a live wire.

Ajay Srivastav, president of Umang Foundation, a public welfare trust working for the rights of physically challenged persons, said that he had met the Chief Minister in this regard and told him about the pathetic condition of the minor labourer.

Singh immediately released Rs 1 lakh from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund, for the treatment of the victim Naresh, who was working with a contractor of Kotgarh area in Shimla.
 

Srivastav had also raised the issue through media and demanded immediate compensation of Rs 1 crore to the victim.
