Defending champions and hosts D Y Patil 'A' played listless cricket and slumped to a four-wicket defeat against qualifiers Jain Irrigation in a Group A league match of the Rs 12 lakh T20 tournament being held at their stadium in Navi Mumbai today.

The home side, boasting of a batting line-up that included some IPL players, failed miserably as they could muster a modest 121 all out, which was overhauled by their rivals.

In Group C, Air India scored their first win by defeating State Bank of Hyderabad by 18 runs. Air India had lost to BPCL by seven wickets yesterday.

In Group B, Western Railway suffered their second straight loss, going down by eight wickets to CAG (Comptroller and Auditor General).
