Hot weather conditions prevailed in Punjab and Haryana with Hisar being the hottest place in the region.
Hisar in Haryana sizzled at 43.8 degrees Celsius, three degrees above normal, as per the MeT department report.
Ambala and Karnal recorded their respective maximums at 41.1 and 41.4 degrees Celsius.
In Punjab, Amritsar's maximum was 40.9 degrees Celsius, three degrees above normal while Ludhiana and Patiala recorded their highs at 42 and 42.4 degrees Celsius respectively, up to five degrees above normal.

MeT department said dry weather conditions will continue to prevail in Punjab and Haryana during the next 24 hours.
