HP to set up Commission to identify poor in Gen category

Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal had made an announcement in this regard in his budget speech in March and later the cabinet approved the proposal. But, the appointment of the chairman, who could be a public figure, is awaited.

The commission would make recommendations regarding identification of economically backward families among general category and measures for their economic uplift, an official said.
