Haryana Police today said it has conducted raids at nine places, including Kaithal, Kurukshetra, Hisar, Bhiwani and Jind, to check adulteration in food articles.
Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Mohd Akil said during the raids, several samples were taken and shops sealed with the assistance of Food and Supply Department officials.
He said the obtained samples have been sent to the laboratories concerned for obtaining their detailed analysis.
Strict legal action would be taken against the persons concerned if the laboratory analysis reports indicate the existence of any adulterated and spurious food articles.
