A 30-year-old pregnant woman was allegedly strangulated to death today by her husband for dowry here, police said.
Local residents of Pasoda area in Shahibabad spotted Sabnam's body inside her house and informed police.
Sabnam was married to Sajid five years back.
Her family members, in the complaint, alleged that Sajid was unemployed and he harassed his wife for dowry.
According to the complaint, Sajid frequently subjected her to physical violence.
The matter was being probed further, SHO Shahibabad Ramnath Yadav said.
