A seven-year-old girl, whose parents had alleged that she was sexually assaulted by her schoolmate, has claimed that she was molested but not raped in the school washroom, police said today.
"The medical report and statement of the victim confirm that she was not raped. The girl told the court that she felt a sharp needle-like object," SSP Manzil Saini said, adding the accused will be identified soon, he added.
SP Maan Singh Chauhan said, "In a statement given to the court, the girl denied any incident of rape. She said that a schoolmate touched her inappropriately and she complained about it to her English teacher."
A case has also been filed against nearly 200 protesters who blocked the roads, when the incident took place, Singh said.
