IAS officer Pannu posted as Secretary Agriculture

Kahan Singh Pannu, Director General, School Education, Punjab, was today posted as Secretary, Agriculture.

The IAS officer relieved V K Sharma of this charge, an official release said here.

Pannu was last month attacked by a group of pilgrims at Gobind Ghat in flood-ravaged Uttarakhand, where he had been deputed by the Punjab Government to oversee the relief and rescue operations.

After the incident, the Punjab Government had formed Special Investigating Team (SIT) to probe the attack on senior IAS officer.
