Illicit liquor worth Rs 10 lakh seized

A huge consignment of illicit liquor, valued at Rs 10 lakh, was seized from Nai Mandi area in the district, police said today.

According to district excise officer Akhilesh Kumar, the officials led by inspector Himmat Singh intercepted a tractor trolley and seized 252 cartons of liquor last night.

One person identified as Luchu Singh was held while four others fled. A case has been registered.
