India beat Pakistan to bag South Asian Handball title

India clinched the 3rd South Asian Handball Championship title after defeating Pakistan 36-31 in the summit clash here today.

The two teams were struck in a tie and eventually India won by five points in the final match played at Genesis Global School here.

Five teams -- Afghanistan, Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh and India -- took part in the Championship, which began on March 23.
