Infiltration bid foiled, 5 militants killed in Kupwara

At least five militants were today killed as Army foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir's Kupwara district, a defence official said.

Srinagar-based defence spokesperson Col Rajesh Kalia said the infiltration bid was foiled in the Tangdhar sector.

He said five militants were killed while attempting to infiltrate into this side of the LoC.

The Army operation is in progress, the official said.
