A 70-year old man an inmate of the foreigner's detention camp in Goalpara district jail, died at civil hospital here, officials said Sunday.
The man identified as Amrit Das was suffering from cardiovascular problem since May 2008 and admitted to hospital recently, jailor of Goalpara district jail said.
Das hails from ward number 10 in Barpeta Road area of Barpeta district where his body was taken for last rites.
Das was in the foreigner's detention camp since May 20, 2017 after he was declared a foreigner by the foreigners tribunal, he added.
