Veteran trade union leader and President of the Indian National Trade Union Congress G Sanjeeva Reddy, was accorded a reception on his 84th birthday.
Setting aside political differences, leaders of various trade unions got together here last evening to shower praise on Reddy, who heads one of India's largest central trade unions.
The reception was arranged on the sidelines of the national working committee of INTUC being held in Kollam, one of country's oldest industrial towns and cradle of trade union movement in the state.
Veteran CITU leader P K Gurudasan lit the lamp at a function held here to honour Reddy.
