James McAvoy to star in spy thriller 'The Coldest City'

Actor James McAvoy is in talks to star alongside Charlize Theron in the Focus Features spy thriller "The Coldest City".

To be helmed by David Leitch, who is making his solo directing debut after working with his partner Chad Stahelski, the film is set in 1980s, reported Entertainment Weekly.

"Act of Valor's" Kurt Johnstad has penned the project.

The shooting of the project is scheduled to start in Berlin and Budapest next month.

McAvoy, 36, will next be seen in "Victor Frankenstien" alongside Daniel Radcliffe.

The film release on November 25.
