Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa today ordered disbursal of a solatium of Rs three lakh to the family of an auto driver who was killed recently.

"I have ordered a solatium of Rs three lakh to the family of Sheikh Mohammed Khaja Muhaideen, an auto driver, from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund," Jayalalithaa said here in an official release.

She said Sheikh Mohammed Khaja Muhaideen was found dead on December 21 in Tirunelveli District and his father Shahul Hameed had appealed to the government for help as his son was the breadwinner.

"I have ordered the police department personnel to expeditiously arrest those who had killed Muhaideen and take legal action against them," she said.
