Senior Jammu and Kashmir Congress leader Tariq Hameed Karra has briefed party president Rahul Gandhi on the deteriorating security situation in the state, according to a party release issued here.
Karra disucssed issues related to the state with Gandhi in Delhi on May 3 and May 5, it said.
He also had detailed discussions regarding the deteriorating situation in the country due to the BJP's misgovernance and politics of polarisation, the release said.
The former Srinagar MP, according to the release, also apprised Gandhi on the situation in Jammu following the rape and killing of an eight-year-old girl in Kathua.
He also briefed Gandhi on the plight on people residing along the International Border.
