The Jammu and Kashmir High Court has stayed the allotment of 1600 residential plots in four prime colonies by the Jammu Development Authority (JDA).
Acting on a petition, Justice Janak Raj Kotwal issued the notice to JDA Vice Chairman Sushma Chouhan ordering stay on the allotment of residential plots in Birpur belt.
The petition, filed by Ashok Singh and others. Sought quashment of JDA advertisement regarding allotment of plots in village Birpur in view of some dispute over demarcation of land.
Last week, the JDA floated advertisement for allotment of 1600 residential plots in Roopnagar, Kotbalwal, Birpur and Golegujral colonies in Jammu city.
