Film professional Jerrit John, accused of hurling a chemical at his former girl friend, had twice in the past threatened to kill her after she refused to marry him, Mumbai police told the court here today.
Police filed a reply in the court to John's application seeking discharge from the case.
His application would be heard next week.

John, who owns a TV production house called 'No Nonsense', was arrested in November 2012, and is in custody since then. He is accused of throwing a chemical at Aryanka Hosbetkar (26), an international-level cyclist, at her residence in Worli here.
The two were facing problems in their 10-month-old relationship after Hosbetkar learnt that John was married and had a five-year-old son. He wanted to marry her.
According to police, before the November incident, he had twice threatened to kill her.
