JSW Steel's crude steel output falls 4% at 12.78 LT in July

JSW Steel Ltd today reported 4 per cent dip in its crude steel production at 12.78 lakh tonnes during July 2017.

The company had produced 13.37 lakh tonnes of crude steel during the same month a year ago.

The production of long rolled products also fell by 28 per cent to 2.17 lakh tonnes last month from 3.04 lakh tonnes in July 2016, it added.

However, the production of flat rolled products registered a 2 per cent growth at 9.74 lakh tonnes in July 2017 as compared to 9.52 lakh tonnes in the corresponding period of last year.

Shares of the company ended 0.58 per cent down at Rs 229.50 on BSE.
