Karnataka Bank Jan-Mar net rises 20 per cent to Rs 81 crore

Karnataka Bank's net profit in the fourth quarter ended March, 2014 rose by 20.5 per cent to Rs 81.21 crore.

The bank had reported net profit of Rs 67.39 crore during the corresponding January-March quarter of 2012-13.

Total income has increased from Rs 1,090.32 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2013 to Rs 1,172.58 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2014, it said in a filing to the BSE.

In the entire fiscal 2013-14, bank's net profit increased to Rs 311.03 crore for the year ended March 31, 2014 as compared to Rs 348.08 crore for the year ended March 31, 2013, it said in a filing to BSE.
 

"Total income has increased from Rs 4,161.93 crore for the year ended March 31, 2013 to Rs 4,694.41 crore for the year ended March 31, 2014," the bank said.

Karnataka Bank shares ended 3.85 per cent down at Rs 125.95 apiece at close on BSE today.
