Katy Perry to write songs on her breakup?

Pop star Katy Perry has hinted that she will be writing songs on her break-up with artist John Mayer.

The 29-year-old 'Roar' hitmaker said the songs will be inspired from her relationship failure, reported Cosmopoliton magazine.

"There's no bad blood. But I'm sure there will be inspired songs," she said when asked about her relationship with Mayer.

Mayer, 36, said he is fine with Perry's revelation, as that is what she is supposed to do.

"I'm fine. That's what you're supposed to do, man. You're supposed to write songs. You're just not supposed to tell everybody you're doing it," he said.
