Kerala Kaumadi Chief Editor M S Ravi passes away """

M S Ravi, Chief Editor of leading Malayalam daily, Kerala Kaumadi, passed away at a private hospital here today.

Ravi collapsed at home this noon and was rushed to the hospital.

He was 68.

Son of Kerala Kaumadi's founder editor K Sukumaran, Ravi" is survived by his wife Shailaja, sons Dipu Ravi, Kerala Kaumadi, Editor and Darshan Ravi, Director (Marketing), family sources said.

He was actively involved in socio cultural activities and was the recipient of several awards.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, in a condolence message, said Ravi's passing away was untimely.

"He made immense contributions to Malayalam journalism. Several recognitions also came his way," Vijayan said.

 

CPI(M) State secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishanan was among those who condoled Ravi's death.
