A minor girl, who was kidnapped on Thursday, was rescued and the accused was arrested in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district, police said today.
During the investigation, the police raided a suspected location in Rajouri last evening and rescued the girl, arresting the accused, Arshad Mehmood, from the spot, a police official said.
The 15-year-old girl, a resident Dhandkote village, was kidnapped from Darhal in Rajouri on Thursday, the official said.
The girl was later handed over to the family after legal and medical formalities, he said.
A case has been registered in Darhal Police Station and the probe is on, he added.
