Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar today said he could not congratulate Rajinikanth, who was today selected for Padma Vibhushan award, as he did not have "guts" to ask the south megastar his contact number.
Akshay is in thrall of Rajinikanth who is his co-star in forthcoming film "Robot 2".
Rajinikanth and classical singer Girija Devi were today selected for Padma Vibhushan, country's second highest civilian award, while Anupam Kher, Udit Narayan, Priyanka Chopra and Ajay Devgn are among other Padma honourees from Bollywood.
"I am happy. I don't have Rajni sir's phone number. I don't have the guts to ask him his number," Akshay told PTI when asked if he has congratulated the veteran actor.
Akshay will play the main villain in "Robot 2", the sequel of Rajinikanth's sci-fi film "Robot".
"Robot" (2010) had Rajinikanth, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Danny Denzongpa.
